Annette Alessi is a published and an award-winning artist who was formerly a fashion illustrator. Since the new millennium she has become a reputable fine artist and art teacher. Along with a degree in the arts, she also studied with Karl Kuerner, a well-known artist who was mentored by Andrew Wyeth.
Annette's specialty today is the portrait and the landscape. She offers commission children's portraiture and commission landscape paintings, as well as, has a large collection of local landscape paintings which can be seen on her website under Brandywine Valley Landscapes, in person at Heron Studios in Aston, PA, or at her home studio in Garnet Valley, PA.
Her original works can also be found at local galleries such as Strodes Mill Gallery in West Chester, PA. Every year she exhibits at Heron Studios in Aston, PA in November, and Chadds Ford Elementary School Art Show and Sale in March, and a few other venues listed on her website. She has been published in many books including "100 Artists of the Brandywine Valley" and has been interviewed by newspapers such as The Wilmington News Journal and the Garnet Valley Press. She teaches at the Chester County Art Association in West Chester, PA, Heron Studios in Aston, PA and privately in her home studio in Garnet Valley, PA.
