Pop Art
Students will create art that is inspired by the ideas of the American pop artists of the 1950's and 1960's. They will explore the attraction these artists had to images of pop culture. Students will learn the processes in which these artists created and the importance of color and repetition in their art. Learn about Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Claes Oldenburg and more. Students will create bold, eye catching two and three dimensional pieces with a variety of media. A $30 materials fee is payable to the instructor during the first class.
