Classes offered for adults by Chester County Art Association, at our main location in West Chester, for the current semester.
Classes divided into four lists: painting and drawing | ceramics | jewelry | mixed and other
Start at the beginning or continue your creative jewelry study by learning advanced skills. Beginners will learn wire designing, simple stone setting, sawing, tooling, forging, simple soldering and polishing. You’ll develop simple techniques resulting in beautiful wearable creations. More advanced students will learn techniques such as filigree wire design, simple stone cabochon setting, advanced soldering and ring design. This class is designed for everyone.
Teens Welcome! A $30 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
Beginner students will learn the fun and creative skills and tools of metalsmithing such as transferring designs to metal, filing, sawing, soldering, finishing and stone setting. Advanced students will learn more skills of metalsmithing such as bezel setting, hinges, repousse and chasing. All students will have the opportunity to work with silver, copper, & brass.
Teens 16+ Welcome! A $55 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
