Start at the beginning or continue your creative jewelry study by learning advanced skills. Beginners will learn wire designing, simple stone setting, sawing, tooling, forging, simple soldering and polishing. You’ll develop simple techniques resulting in beautiful wearable creations. More advanced students will learn techniques such as filigree wire design, simple stone cabochon setting, advanced soldering and ring design. This class is designed for everyone.

Teens Welcome! A $30 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

Enhance your darkroom skills by printing your B&W negatives for 6 supervised printing sessions. The instructor will guide you in refining your traditional printing techniques. Beginner students will learn the fun and creative skills and tools of metalsmithing such as transferring designs to metal, filing, sawing, soldering, finishing and stone setting. Advanced students will learn more skills of metalsmithing such as bezel setting, hinges, repousse and chasing. All students will have the opportunity to work with silver, copper, & brass.

Learn wire wrapping techniques and setting beads in attractive , creative designs. Learn to make your own jewelry attachments (findings) using basic tools for shaping wire. Hammering (cold forging) is also used. Each student will make 3 finished pieces. A $25-30 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

Take printmaking in whatever direction you choose. Work from your own drawings to produce fine art prints using silk screen and relief. Enjoy working with pen and ink? You will love this class. Etching will be introduced to interested students. In this class you can create beautiful artistic prints to more commercial artistic items like your own design or picture on an article of clothing or accessories.
Teens 15+ welcome. Materials list will be reviewed at the first day of class.

Soldering Made Simple
