Public Art Exhibition: Saturday / Sunday October 1-2, 2011, Tatnall School, DE
Plein Air Brandywine Valley is a painting and photography competition, show and sale featuring the beauty of the Brandywine Valley interpreted by the finest artists of our nation and beyond.
For one week, artists will paint and photograph the most scenic properties of the Brandywine Valley including private estates, land preserves, and renowned du Pont properties such as Longwood Gardens, Hagley Museum, Winterthur, and Mt. Cuba to name a few.
Celebrated Brandywine Valley artist, Frolic Weymouth, and Stephen Perloff of Photo Review, will judge all works entered into the competition. All art will then be displayed for viewing and purchase during the opening Gala scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2011 and throughout the remainder of the weekend.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Chester County Art Association's ArtReach scholarship programs and the Children's Beach House (www.cbhinc.org/), an organization that helps special needs children reach their highest potential.
