Students will develop a series of artworks centered on a self-chosen meaningful theme while exploring various styles and mediums of art.  Drawing, painting, illustration, and printmaking techniques will be developed while students gain a better understanding of how line, color, shape, value, rhythm, movement, unity and more work in unison to create an artwork.  The development of an artistic style will be encouraged by exposing students to various periods in art from realism to contemporary.  Materials list is available in the office. Please pick one up prior to the first class.
