Are you an artist or photographer looking for a new venue to display your work? Starbucks might be the answer.
As part of its Make Your Mark program, Starbucks is working with the Chester County Art Association to showcase artists of the region. You must join the association to participate ( membership is good for a year).
The jurying process involves bringing your work to the art center at 100 North Bradford Ave. in West Chester where it will be photographed for the selection committee (comprised of Starbucks personel and CCAA staff). There is no limited to the size of the work, however, all work must be framed or ready to be hung. At this point, no 3-D work or sculpture will be juried.
The next show will feature all photography. “Receiving Day” will be May 31st from 9:30 am. to 4 p.m. Accepted work can be delivered at the art association at 100 North Bradford Ave. in West Chester. The CCAA staff will deliver all accepted art work to area Starbucks; without permission from the staff, no work can delivered on your own.
So photographers, get creative and look for shots that might appeal to the coffee-sipping, laptop-tapping patrons of Starbucks. There's room for all sizes of work as well as a thematic series that could hang above the built-in sofas of the new Starbucks in West Chester. See our press release for more details.
