Japanese Anime!  Students will work on developing their anime drawing skills focusing on figure development, panel drawing, painting, inking and much more.  We will also look at current and popular anime/manga artists such as Hayoa Miyazaki (Spirited Away), Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto), Naoko Takeuchi (Sailor Moon), Yamaha Corperation (Vocaloids), Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball Z), and Matsuri Hino (Vampire Knight).  $30 materials fee is payable to the instructor during the first class.

Create sculptures and functional pieces using real potter's tools and methods to build, texture and decorate your works.  Explore clay by handbuilding and having fun using slab, coil and pinch pot techniques in new and inventive ways.  $40 materials fee is payable to the instructor during the first class.

Foster the awakening of the creative being in your child by allowing them to bring out the gifts they posses.  The process of training the mind and hand to express from within opens a lifetime skill no matter what field your child chooses.  Susan's life long classic training in drawing and painting, a love which started in a community art center, enables her to extend a wealth of knowledge to your child.  A materials list is available in the office.

This class is designed for those who truly love detailed drawing and anime.  Learn the art of fine-point details for anime characters and explore shading, color blending and other details of a finished character. All Levels welcome.  Please bring sketchbook, pencils, erasers and black fine point markers.  A $10 materials fee is payable to the instructor during the first class.

Students will explore the possibilities of creating art through mixed media.  Upon completion of the course each student will have at least three mixed media paintings on canvas.  Techniques include drawing and painting in a fiqurative manner and incorporating abstract qualities. collage, and found objects into your painting.  Materials will be discussed at the first class. 

Make a necklace, bracelets and earrings using a wide range of material including fabric, wire, beads, paper and clay.  Students will learn different techniques and make pieces of art which they can wear.  A materials fee is payable to the instructor during the first class.

Whether you are a novice or an expert, come perfect the craft of throwing on the wheel and hand-building with clay.  Projects are open but instructor is happy to provide assignments to those who wish.  Students are also encouraged to do a little research and bring pictures of things they'd like to try and make.
