JOIN US FOR A GALLERY TALK: HUE OF MEMORIES II


Join us at the Chester County Art Association on
Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 PM for a special gallery talk with
​Jie Deng, curator of Hue of Memories II. Inspired by Jie’s father’s journey after a stroke changed his ability to communicate, the exhibition explores how memories, relationships, and life experiences shape our identities and connections. Through painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and mixed media, the participating artists reflect on the moments, places, and relationships that leave lasting impressions on our lives.

Guided by shifting hues representing different chapters of life, Hue of Memories II takes viewers on a journey through youth, growth, reflection, and legacy.

The exhibition is on view in the Allinson Gallery through
October 1, 2026.

​From September through December, the Chester County Art Association will showcase an exciting lineup of exhibitions featuring regional artists, botanical illustration, contemporary works, fine craft, historical archives, and student talent across the Allinson, Huston, and ShopArt Galleries. Highlights include the 9th Annual Jewelry Showcase, the Member Show, the Chester County Craft Guild Fall Fine Craft Show, and The History of CCAA: From the Archives, along with solo exhibitions by Jie Deng, Karen McCool, and Bostelle-Freeland-Haggerty. Join us for monthly opening receptions and experience the creativity, diversity, and artistic excellence that make CCAA a vibrant destination for the arts this fall.

CRAFTAPALOOZA
2026

Craftapalooza 2026 at the Chester County Art Association is a fun, hands-on art event designed for children ages 5–12. Taking place on Sunday, November 15, Craftapalooza gives young artists the opportunity to explore a variety of creative mediums, including ceramics, painting, printmaking, and mixed media.
With sessions designed for different age groups and interests, children can experiment with new techniques, create their own artwork, and enjoy a day of creativity in a supportive studio environment. Craftapalooza is also a great way for kids to get a head start on holiday creativity by making unique, handmade artwork and gifts.
