Step into a space where vibration becomes inspiration and sound transforms into form. The Shape of Sound invites artists of all mediums—painters, writers, fiber artists, and more—to create while immersed in a live sound bath experience.
Hop into Felting: A Friendly Frog Needle-Felting Workshop

A beginner-friendly needle-felting workshop focused on creating a cute, slightly befuddled frog.
You’ll be guided step by step through the basics of needle felting, learning how to shape wool and add charming details as your frog slowly takes shape. 
Introduction to Cyanotype

Step into the enchanting world of cyanotype printmaking — a 19th-century photographic technique that uses sunlight and natural elements to create vivid blue botanical prints.In this 3-hour hands-on workshop, you'll gather local flowers, leaves, and grasses, learn the simple but magical cyanotype process, and create your own stunning cyan-blue artworks to take home. Perfect for artists, nature lovers, or anyone seeking a creative escape in an enchanting setting.

Wooly Wings: Cardinal Needle-Felting Workshop

Join "B.E. Creating" for a beginner-friendly needle-felting workshop where you’ll learn the fundamentals of the craft.
From selecting needles to shaping wool and adding color and details, you’ll be guided step by step as you create your own beautiful needle-felted cardinal.
D&D Club Character Workshop
Tuesday, May 5
4:30 to 7 PM
In this one day workshop we will build your Dungeons and Dragons Character that is needed to play D&D. Before this workshop I will email races and character classes to look over so you have an idea of what you want to play as before we meet up.

​Rug Hooked Spring Meadow

​10 am to 4 pm
The historic art of traditional hand hooked rugs has been admired since colonial times.  Like many forms of art, hooked rugs were made out of necessity, utilizing scraps and upcycling.  
By pulling up one loop at a time you can create a beautiful 8” by 8” heirloom textile.  This class is for the adventurous beginner.

​Mandala Mosaic

​10 am to 4 pm
In this workshop, students will make a 6-inch round mandala mosaic.
You will learn how to cut glass pieces and tiles into different sizes and shapes with hand tools, then layout and attach those pieces. We will finish the mosaics with grouting. 
Mandala represents “universe,” so create your own universe with colorful and diverse pieces you hand-cut!

​Basics & Beyond

A nurturing, non-judgmental workshop designed to teach the structured, meditative method of creating art using, simple, repetitive, strokes to produce intricate designs. It focuses on mindfulness rather than technical drawing skills. Students will be immersed in creating actual tiles leaving with a clear understanding that, “Anything is possible one stroke at a time.”
DIY Window Clings for Birds Workshop

During this event, learn how to identify Spring Migrant Bird species that may live in our communities by sight and sound, and enjoy a guided bird walk to practice these skills, as well as to observe what feathered friends call Chester County Art Association their home!

​Nantucket Trinket Basket
Monday, may 18
9:30 am to 4 PM
This workshop will include the use of all necessary tools, mold, cane, and reed to complete a small Nantucket basket ready for finishing with Polyurethane. The polyurethane finishing will be done outside of the workshop. The mold size and basket will be between 3 and 4 inches in diameter with a solid cherry or walnut base and rim. 
Resonance in the Gallery: An Immersive Sound Experience

Immerse yourself in a deeply restorative sound bath set within the inspiring galleries of the Chester County Art Association.
Surrounded by art and creative energy, you’ll be guided into relaxation through resonant tones of crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other harmonic instruments. As sound waves move through the body, they invite the nervous system to soften, quiet the mind, and open space for reflection and inner stillness.
