Founded in 1931, the Chester County Art Association (CCAA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to educating, inspiring, and connecting the people of Chester County to and through the arts. As a small non-profit arts center, we believe that art positively impacts everyone; we help develop individual abilities, foster art appreciation, and create a sense of artistic community. Fine arts/fine crafts classes and workshops teach fundamental concepts as well as advanced techniques. Art exhibitions, events, lectures, and artist talks provide learning opportunities and creative dialogue in welcoming spaces. Our continually expanding art programs for all ages include oil painting, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, figure drawing, sculpture, ceramics photography, digital art, printmaking, mixed media, fiber arts, and jewelry.
Our Location The Chester County Art Association is located at 100 North Bradford Avenue, West Chester, PA 19382.
On the main level of our building, we have two formal galleries, Allinson Gallery and Huston Gallery. We exhibit artwork by local and regional artists in these spaces from September through May. The galleries are closed in the summer to host our summer art camps. On the lower level, we have 6 studio spaces where we hold art classes and open studios throughout the week. We also open up our spaces to renters, who use the studios and galleries for various activities including private events and customized programming.
Closings & Holidays We are closed on all major holidays. We follow the West Chester School District in the winter for delays and closings. For additional updates on closings, please follow our Facebook & Instagram accounts.
